Hot & Cold

Valentine's Day was just last week and if you think of it, it's kinda a weird Holiday. Yes I know I am always going to have a Valentine so I should just love it because I well always have something to do with someone I love, but in all reality it's another day for gifts, spending money and saying I love you a lot a lot a lot. When you love someone you shouldn't need a special day to express how much you love them it should be everyday. Since there is a specific day every year you are supposed to spend excessive money and really expectations are never really met, are they? When you get one thing it's kinda like you wanted something else. All Valentines Day is really another day for people to have super high expectations that may be let down and to show how much you love someone, when in fact that should be shown everyday all year long if you really really really love them.

This year Joe and I decided to not do presents and it was my best Valentines day ever. Honestly I can't remember what I got our first year of marriage and last year I was a brat because what I thought I was getting I didn't get ( even though he did put a lot of thought into that present) and this year I well remember and have the rest of our lives. This year Creative Joe came out and did a scavenger hunt for me. He wrote a nice long letter in the shape of a heart, cut it up and hid it throughout the house. When we got home from church I started looking. Apparently I am really good at finding the easy ones but then some were just impossible to find so we had to play hot and cold. Once I found all the pieces I put them together and they made this huge heart with the most thoughtful words. I loved every moment of our Valentine's weekend and am thinking of not doing presents ever again. This way I'm happy, Joe's happy and our bank accounts stay a little fuller.

Kitty Cat

So yesterday I helped out at my niece Jada's birthday party. We painted nails, melted crayons into bigger crayons, played games and face painted. It was a really fun birthday party. The face painter was awesome it was literally the whole face not just a rainbow on the cheek like I remember face painting. Of course there were a couple of jokes about the adults getting their faces painted but nobody did... well nobody did until I said I can't because I am going to a movie afterwards. Immediately Dave, my brother-in-law, said I'll give you 20 bucks to have your face painted like a cat and go to the movies like that. I said ok, then I said no then I said yes again and after about 2 minutes I transformed from Tori to this yup I was a tiger. The whole time
we are laughing but I couldn't really see myself. Then I looked in the mirror and I can't believe I have a tiger face. Joe was out golfing so he had no clue that his wife was really a tiger. When he got to his parents house i surprised him and I've never seen him so shocked before. In fact he wouldn't even give me a kiss he was afraid he would turn into a tiger too. We went to the movies around 4 and I was thinking it wouldn't be that bad because it was a dollar theater and we were seeing 2012 which wasn't that cool anyways. Of course I was wrong and it was the busiest I have ever seen the theater and the movie we were actually in was jam packed. During the movie I forgot I had a tiger face until Joe looked at me and started laughing. I'm just glad I got a tiger because after my face was painted Dave started thinking of a clown face or a pig face which would have been way more embarrassing than a tiger face. A pig face people would just laugh but a tiger face people are intimidated and wouldn't want to mess with me. SO how old is too old for face painting? Some say 8 but I would say 25 so I have a whole year to paint my face before it becomes weird...right?

Yup another Cruise

It's true we went on another cruise last week. We were lucky enough to leave cold Utah and head south to cold Florida. We just so happened to pick the week that Florida reached their all time low temperature, so lucky us. Even though some days were overcast and a little to cool for me for cruising time it was still a blast. We went to St. Maarten, St. Thomas and Grand Turk. Each island we did about the same thing, rented a scooter, take pictures, go swimming and Joe even got his sugar cane juice that he has been craving and talking about ever since he left Brazil.

We rang in the new year on the plane and in a taxi.

Joe's favorite spot on the ship was in the spa watching his football games.

In St. Maarten we went to a beach that was in front of the airport. Planes would fly right over us about every 5 minutes which was really cool.

Unfortunately planes take off there as well. When looking at this awesome sign you would think that a plane taking off would blow you away. We got the privilege to see a plane take off and it didn't blow you away at all. All it did was blow sand at you. Not friendly sand either it was hard rough sand being embedded into your skin. That part not as fun but kinda funny now.

In ST. Thomas we rode around on a scooter since the weather wasn't the best. St. Thomas has the nicest people and this lady let us go in her backyard to take pictures of her beautiful view.

Of course we have formal night were we always eat way too much. That sick feeling you get eating too much though was totally worth it.

In Grand Turk this was about it. We rented a scooter and saw the island which had about 2 buildings down town, random sheep, bulls, horses and cows.

And this was the end of the cruise, Joe getting in his last meal. I'm not sure what everything on that plate was but he ate every bite.
Cruises are so so much fun and leave us relaxed, fat and sad to come home but are so worth it every time.

Crack

Yup that's right, I'm addicted to crack. I'm not afraid to say it because it is the most delicious thing I have ever tasted. See these cookies I'm pretty sure they have crack in them because when I'm not eating them I think about them and when I am eating them I think how I shouldn't be on my 4th cookie already. These are Courtney's cookies and I don't know how she gets them so perfect every time. She doesn't even measure anything and they come out flawless. She made me some for my birthday the other week, which was the best gift ever, and I am ashamed to say that after my 5th cookie right before bed I told Joe he had to take them to work. A couple days later I told Joe I wish he didn't take them to work and he said that was like 3 days ago. I told him I know and I have been thinking about them ever since. These cookies right here I want to be the last thing I eat before I fall asleep forever, I want them buried with my so my casket smells like fresh cookies and I really hope Courtney you bring the recipe to heaven because you should make them when we're there. I bet you wouldn't even have to make them. I bet just thinking about them and they would appear, that would be amazing. So yes I do have a crack problem and it is these cookies. Even though I always say just one I always end up with at least 4 and love every bite of them.

Letter to Santa

Dear Santa-
As I get older I find fewer things I want for Christmas. This year I can only think of one thing and if I could get it then I won't ask for anything else ever again... well maybe we'll just keep it to one thing a year because lets be honest it's Christmas you always want at least one gift. This year I want to be sick. I want to wake up feeling like I have to throw up but never really do because that would just make me have to throw up more. I want to gain some weight but only in the belly because I don't want to look like an umpa lumpa. I promise i won't name the gift any weird names, like system quatro ( which is really what my dad wanted to name me, true story). And I want you to tell the Mr. this is what I want because I think he listens to you more then he does to me, especially around Christmas time. Let him know I haven't asked for 2 years so he should be grateful and now I am asking. In fact Santa, if you could just have a stork or your reindeer drop it off at the front door and skip the being sick and fat part that would be an even better gift. I just want that gift to hold and kiss and squeeze and when I'm sad and Joe is at work I want that gift to make me happy. I kinda lied in the beginning and I'm sorry for that but I actually want 2 gifts. I know I always said I just wanted 1 but I think having 2 would be amazing. So this is all I want for Christmas so if you could give that to me Santa I'll be good all year long. Thank you so very much!

Sincerely-

Tori Beth Coccimiglio

Oh How I Love California

Yup it's true I do love California.
1. 80 degrees in November
2. No dry skin only soft uncracky skin
3. My Family
4. Jacque Mendenhall and Becky and Casey too if they still lived there
5. Stonefire Grill
6. BJ's Pazookies
7. The smell of the air
8. Sunny days means sun and warmth not just sun
9. Sitting in the hot tub not because it's cold outside but because you can any time
10. wear sandals all year long without getting frost bite

Why I don't love but just like Utah:
because today the news lady said it is going to be a nice sunny day and then said the high is going to be 29 degrees. Really you can't put nice and 29 degrees in the same sentence. Luckily my husband lives here otherwise I would have to move right back home and get soft skin.

What the Cuss

Being home with my family means lots of movies. So far haven't been to impressed with any of the twilights that I have seen but this movie I was way impressed with... Fantastic Mr. Fox saw it, liked it, loved it, I'd watch it again. Many more movies to see with the fam since I well be seeing them next weekend too. So we'll see how next weekend goes.
